Thuba Myeki is a South African vocalist, entertainer, MC, songwriter, recording artist, actor and television presenter from Gqeberha (Eastern Cape) whose dynamic talent and magnetic stage presence have made him one of the most sought-after performers in the corporate and live entertainment scene.
Thuba first gained national attention as a Top 14 finalist on Idols South Africa at age 18, where his impressive voice and charismatic personality won over audiences. Since then he has built a diverse and vibrant career in music, theatre, television, and event hosting.
As a solo artist, Thuba is known for his versatility across styles — from classy big-band jazz and cabaret to contemporary chart-toppers — and his ability to energize a dancefloor for hours. He also performs as a duo or trio, including a highly-acclaimed collaboration with legendary South African singer Vicky Sampson in “Next Level – From the Stage to Your Heart”, a show launched in early 2025 that blends powerful vocals with storytelling.
Thuba’s talents extend beyond singing — he regularly serves as an engaging MC for top corporate events, fronts high-profile bands and tribute shows, and works as a vocal director, shaping harmonies and arrangements for live productions. Under the stage name 2Bad, he writes, records and produces original music with a soulful house and trap-soul sound, and has featured on releases with Kalawa Jazmee artists including Point 5 and Heavy-k.
In theatre and television, Thuba has appeared in popular South African series such as Generations The Legacy, Greed and Desire and Rhythm City, and won acclaim for his lead role in the musical Annie Get Your Gun, earning a Showtime Award for Best Actor in a Musical. He has also appeared in film and voice-over work, demonstrating his broad creative range.
Thuba continues to perform nationwide alongside notable artists like PJ Powers, Louise Carver, Lloyd Cele and Vicky Sampson, while leading original shows such as The Innovators — a tribute to icons like Prince, Michael Jackson and Bruno Mars — at major venues.
