Max-Hoba is a Johannesburg-based Afro-soul and world music singer-songwriter whose work blends rich vocals, multilingual storytelling and socially conscious themes. Originally from Welkom in the Free State, he has built a respected independent career in South African music, performing in isiXhosa, Sesotho, Zulu and English.
Known for a warm, expressive voice and strong live presence, Max-Hoba’s music explores love, unity, identity and everyday social realities. Over the years he has released original music through his own label and gained recognition both locally and internationally, including touring in Europe and earning award recognition for his album Traveling Man.
As a live performer, Max-Hoba has collaborated with notable South African artists and built a reputation for soulful, audience-focused performances that work well across festivals, cultural events, corporate entertainment and concert platforms.
