Somizi Mhlongo (born 23 December 1972) is a Television personality, actor, singer. He is also a choreographer, radio personality and entertainer

He is famous and has gained many TV audiences for hosting “Living the Dream with Swomizi”. The reality show allowed him to give viewers a peek into his life.

He started his professional career at the age of 13 after joining the broadway musical Sarafina!

Somizi traveled the world for five (5) years with the production. He led the Miss South Africa from 1998-2008 as a choreographer.

He had his show on Cliff Central and also helped with the choreography of the 2010 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony

He published his biography which he wrote from personal knowledge. The memoir was titled Dominoes: Unbreakable Spirit.

He wanted to title the book “Ooh Shem” but thought it was too playful.

“There is a lot more that is covered than what has already been reported in the media.

“The book is covering the 46-year life of Somizi. Some of it I’d like to think is X-rated, but still fun to read and jaw-dropping.” Mofokeng said.
