Mzansi Gay choir was founded in 2016. The choir was founded to inspire and educate Africans at large about inclusivity, diversity and the true essence of the LGBTQI community. The aim of the choir is to spread a message of self-acceptance, freedom and love. Which is the central theme in their lead singles: ‘I’m on my way’ and ‘Let me be’ produced by Brenda Mtambo. Based in Johannesburg the choir consists of 14 Queer activists/singers from different Provinces around South Africa.
