Based: Cape town

Marcé is a born and bred Capetonian who attended Stellenberg High School. Following a gap year, she joined the College Of Music at The University of Cape Town to start studying a Classical Music in Performance Diploma in Opera. She performed alongside artists such as the Hassan’adas Band; Kyle Shepherd; Buddy Wells and other genres such as dance/soul-lounge music projects.

Apart from her performing career she is currently completing a Postgraduate qualification in Higher Education so as to further her abilities to teach youngsters in her community.

Her interests include writing poetry, composing music for the projects she works on and she performs at top venues in the city. Marcé contributed on two original music projects one being Maraca Band as leading vocalist and lyricist and on Project Escape Trio as the bandleader; composer and lyricist. She aspires to be successful in the entertainment industry and corporate market and to learn from the major players.

She has also performed on platforms such as the Youth Jazz Festival 2012; Artscapes Womens Festival and the WHEAT TRUST Womens Conference held annually at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

Marce has most recently participated in the 2015 Heart 104.9 Open Mic Jazz Competition where she accomplished 1st Runner up.

She hopes to win this year and perform with a lot more musicians whom are well known in all genres of music.
