The ensemble achieved global recognition through its collaboration with Paul Simon on the landmark 1986 album Graceland, a moment that introduced its sound to audiences around the world and helped establish Ladysmith Black Mambazo as a defining voice in global choral music. Over the years, the group has built a remarkable international career, earning multiple Grammy Awards and performing across the world while remaining rooted in South African heritage and message-driven music.
