Victor Kgomoeswana is a respected South African African business specialist, author, broadcaster, strategist and keynote speaker, widely recognised for his optimistic yet commercially grounded perspective on Africa’s economic potential. He describes himself as an “Afro-optimist, change agent and community builder.”
Victor is the author of the bestselling Africa is Open for Business, which explores innovation, entrepreneurship and investment opportunities across the continent. His second book, Africa Bounces Back, examines Africa’s resilience and the major economic, political and technological trends shaping its future.
His career combines business, consulting, investment, media and education. He previously served as Associate Director at Ernst & Young’s Africa Business Centre, where he helped develop intelligence platforms supporting multinational organisations looking for opportunities across Africa. He later joined PPC, where he was responsible for identifying investment opportunities across the continent and also served as CEO of the PPC Ntsika Fund, supporting the development of Black-owned SMEs.
Victor has extensive broadcasting experience and has been a familiar voice and face across African business media. He founded the Africa Business Report on Talk Radio 702’s Money Show, hosted programming on Power FM, and produced and presented Africa Business News on CNBC Africa. He has also contributed to platforms including CNN, SABC, eTV and SAFM.
Since November 2021, Victor has served as Executive Director: Marketing and Communication at the University of Limpopo, where he oversees more than ten units within the university’s marketing and communications portfolio. He continues to be active as a speaker and commentator on African business, trade, investment and economic affairs.
As a keynote speaker and conference facilitator, Victor draws on extensive first-hand experience across the continent. He has travelled and worked extensively in Africa and has addressed corporations, government organisations and leadership teams on the opportunities and challenges of doing business on the continent. His combination of business intelligence, storytelling, media experience and deep knowledge of African markets makes him particularly effective for corporate conferences and leadership audiences.
