African business expert with a profile on radio and television Subjects Innovation The opportunities available in Africa Business development Victor Kgomoeswana is a TV and radio anchor (weekly Africa Business News on CNBC Africa & daily radio programme, Power Hour on Power FM – previously Africa business weekly report on 702 and SAFM), author, conference speaker, programme director, workshop facilitator and consultant on African business development. Organisations for which he has facilitated events include the Trade & Investment Summit for the Office of the Premier in Gauteng, the Black Management Forum (BMF), the Nkonki Inc., EY, Financial Management Improvement III workshop for municipalities, Association of Black Securities & Investment Professionals (ABSIP), African Women Chartered Accountants (AWCA), Department of Trade & Industry (Manufacturing Indaba 2015), the Federation of Swaziland Employers & Chamber of Commerce and Transnet. He has addressed leadership teams or facilitated conferences on African business for Massmart, Barclays, FNB, Standard Bank, Nedbank, PepsiCo, Thomson Reuters, Voltex, Vodacom, Schneider Electric, Alliance Française, Allan Gray/Orbis Foundation, SA Autoweek, SAMRO, Rwanda Development Board, GDF SUEZ, Copper Development Association, SWIFT (African Regional Conference), the Africa Utility Week 2015, the Electrical Contractors’ Association of South Africa, Stanbic Zambia, among others. He also organised and led a trade and investment conference on East Africa in Kigali, Rwanda; as well as participate in a number of trade missions organised by the Department of Trade & Industry and the Department of International Relations & Cooperation – including missions to countries such as Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Sudan, etc. Previously, he was the Africa Business Development Executive for PPC Ltd and Chief Executive Officer of enterprise development initiative, PPC Ntsika Fund (Pty) Ltd. He also was Associate Director at EY’s Africa Business Centre – the one-stop service for multinational clients he advised on their African business expansion strategies on behalf of the firm. The book he wrote on African business, called “Africa is Open for Business”, published by PanMacMillan in May 2014, is based on his 10 years as a media commentator and presenter on African business as well as his experience travelling to about 25 African countries on behalf of multinational clients.
