Thee Legacy is an award-winning South African male vocal group bringing a fresh, contemporary interpretation to the traditional art of isicathamiya.
Hailing from Inanda, Ntuzuma and KwaMashu in KwaZulu-Natal, the group comprises descendants of members of the legendary Ladysmith Black Mambazo, carrying an important musical heritage into a new generation.
Their distinctive sound combines rich Zulu vocal harmonies and traditional isicathamiya with contemporary influences including Afro-soul, jazz, R&B and urban African rhythms, accompanied by energetic choreography and traditional dance.
The group rose to national prominence in 2015 when they won the inaugural Sing Off South Africa on SABC1, earning a recording deal with Sony Music Entertainment Africa.
Their singles “Wena Wedwa” and “S’thandwa Sami” became significant radio successes, with “Wena Wedwa” subsequently featured in a major Simba advertising campaign.

Thee Legacy offers a visually engaging performance combining powerful five-part male harmonies, movement, choreography and traditional Zulu influences.
