TIMOTHY DE MONK
SINGER / SONGWRITER / GUITARIST

He discovered a passion for music in 2014, when he learnt how to play the guitar and found that he could not put the instrument down.
Timothy recorded his debut EP, “Hazy Days”, which he released on 5 December 2015. He describes his EP as: “expressing myself through my music. It is about my emotions put into songs. It is about what I love most: the people in my life, life experiences and the things I enjoy most in life”.

In 2016, whilst still in high school, Timothy spent the year writing and recording demo’s which would form the start of his professional recording career. He released his debut single “Everyday” on 3 April 2017, which became an instant hit on most of our local radio stations. The hit single was on 5FM Top10 Pop Chart for 18 weeks.

“I Never Want To See Her” was released on 24 July 2017, debuting on Jacaranda SA Top 20 on 6 August 2017 and remained on the chart for 14 weeks. It was no 1 for eight weeks on the 5FM Top10 Pop Chart and remained there for 18 weeks. More recently, he released “No Stress Moment”, which has been playlisted all over South Africa and is available for streaming on all online music platforms.
