Talitha Luiters is a South African singer and performer from Atlantis in the Western Cape. She began singing at a young age and first gained national attention after winning the Shine99 talent competition on SABC 2 when she was 10 years old.
Since then, she has built a career performing across South Africa in genres including pop, R&B, jazz, and Afrikaans music. She has collaborated with several local artists and released songs such as “Ek is Joune” with Aidam-John, which became popular on social media and streaming platforms. She is also studying at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology while continuing her music career.
Some of her notable achievements include:
- Winning the Best Female Singer award at the 2024 Public Health Awards.
- Performing South Africa’s national anthem at major national events, including appearances attended by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
- Becoming widely recognized for her rendition of the national anthem before a Springbok rugby match, earning praise for her powerful vocal performance.
Talitha has said she hopes to inspire young people from communities like Atlantis by showing that determination, faith, and hard work can open doors to opportunities in the music industry.
