Denzil Hendricks, affectionately known as Sundae, his stage name; born and Bred in Cape Town is an award winning Hip-hop artist that discovered his ability to rap from an early age of 10. He recently scooped the Cape Town Victory Music Award in November for best Hip-hop. Sundae got his first break from a school concert at the age of 14 years old and he never looked back. He believes that the gift of music can change lives as it has changed his. His music is not only for the youth but his lyrics and vibrant and dynamic style attracts even those young at heart, all races and different religions.

Sundae’s recent performance was on SABC 3 Expresso in November 2014 and he also had an interview on the same day. He also performed at the Cape Town Music Awards where he won the best hip-hop award. Sundae has already spread his wings and worked with dynamic musical geniuses like the multi-award winning group, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Jimmie Earl Perry on the hit and famous track ‘Knocking on heaven’s door’. Not only that but he shared a stage with Judith Sephuma, Zoe Zana and a few more.
Sundae also worked with Neville D, one of Cape Town’s talented and successful artists, on an annual project that Neville D runs called “Neville D presents”. The project sees 10 carefully selected artists perform on a bigger stage. He takes them through a process of self-discovery, finding a sense of purpose and responsibility and culminating in an album/DVD that will bring songs of hope to others.

The cherry on top of Sundae’s young musical career is that he has been recently endorsed by
MayBru clothing Label for a period of 12 months.
