Just four years in the entertainment industry, Sindi has made a name for herself; she studied Jazz and Popular Music Diploma at University of KwaZulu Natal School of Music where she took on Bass as her first instrument and second instrument being the piano. During her second year Sindi had to put her studies aside as she went on to participate on the popular reality TV show MNet Idols VI where she became famously known as the tiny blond girl with a huge voice, she was one of the nation’s favourites, most talked about and was widely praised and received standing ovations by Mara Louw, Randall Ibrahim (S.A Music Awards CEO) and Gareth Cliff (5FM) were she became the 3rd finalist on this national talent show. Her talent, hard work and spectacular stage command landed her a recording deal with internationally acclaimed label Universal Music were she got signed in February 2011 for a lucrative 5 album contract by director Dharam Sewraj and had Crown Gospel Lifetime Achievement Award winner Lindelani Mkhize appointed as her A&R, already Sindi was set on path to success.

Sindi has become the first choice of artist for corporate performances for major clients like TRANSNET from 2010 – 2011, The Department of Justice in South Africa where she performed for the opening of the Master of High Court (2010 -2011 and The Department of Trade and Industry in South Africa, she has also made her name on some of the country’s top concerts such as the MTN Jazz Festival in 2009, 2010 and in 2011 she received a special slot during the MTN Hour at Hazlemere Dam in KwaZulu Natal, her performance in 2011 has been one of the highlights for this annual musical gathering which attracts tens of thousands audience from all over Africa and the world. Sindi also performed at Metro FM Music Awards 2011 on the 26th of November 2011 were she performed solo with her bass guitar at Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga in front of thousands which gives her a unique style and gets her compared to legendary musicians/bassists like Richard Bona (Cameroon) and Esperanza Spalding (USA/Sweden). Sindi has been named “the most famous South African female bass player” by the Independent media house in a big front page feature by one of their leading Newspapers, and has been named South Africa’s favourite by the Sunday Times Newspaper, she has been featured in many of the leading print media/magazines in the country and international magazines such as Fair Lady, Cosmopolitan, YOU, People and CLEO among others & she was also named one of SA’s most beautiful women by the South African Beauties Blog.
