Rayelle Goodman is one of South Africa’s most accomplished and versatile violinists, with a career spanning more than three decades across classical, contemporary, theatre, jazz, and popular music. Renowned for her expressive musicianship, technical excellence, and dynamic stage presence, she has established herself as a sought-after performer and collaborator both locally and internationally.

A founding member of the acclaimed South African bands Freshlyground and Coda, Rayelle spent two years performing with each group before pursuing a diverse freelance career. Her extensive performance credits include collaborations with internationally celebrated artists such as Josh Groban, Lucia Micarelli, Shawn Phillips, Gabriela Montero, and the Ananda Project, showcasing her versatility across a wide range of musical genres.

Rayelle has also enjoyed a distinguished career in musical theatre, performing in productions including Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera at Cape Town’s Artscape Theatre. Her passion for live performance has seen her appear at major festivals, concerts, corporate events, television productions, and recording sessions throughout Southern Africa and abroad.
