Malika Omar is a South African classical and fusion pianist, composer and recording artist based in Cape Town, known for her expressive performances and original compositions that blend classical technique with contemporary influences.

She began playing the piano at the age of nine and went on to release her debut album, Monsoon Dew, in 2007, followed by the album Sand Star, featuring original compositions written and produced in the United Arab Emirates. Her music has received multiple award nominations and is available internationally through major platforms.

Malika has performed for a wide range of distinguished audiences and global brands, including appearances at Dubai Fashion Week, as well as performances for dignitaries such as HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Princess Ameerah Al Taweel, and Bill Gates. Her work has also been featured in the documentary Arabic Fusion, which screened at international film festivals in cities including Berlin, London, Miami and Auckland.

In addition to her performance career, Malika composes music for charitable initiatives and media projects. Her song “New Hope”, which she wrote and performed, was created to support the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, reflecting her commitment to using music as a platform for positive change.
