925 Band is a celebrated South African acoustic harmony trio formed in 2011 by three talented brothers — Reno, Jeff and David-Lee Gericke. With their warm, feel-good sound and tight three-part vocal harmonies, the band has become one of the most in-demand live acts in the country, performing across festivals, corporate events, theatres and special functions.

Originally from Pretoria, the brothers quickly grew from playing a few local shows each month to becoming a versatile and professional act known for energising audiences of all ages. Their music blends acoustic folk, pop and classic influences, creating an inviting atmosphere that resonates with both Afrikaans and English listeners.

In 2014 they released their debut album Horizon, featuring 8 original tracks — including fan favourites like “Gedig op Jou Arm”, “Servette” and “Out of My Hands” — which received regular National radio play.

A major breakthrough came in 2016 when they composed the theme song for the Afrikaans film Eintlik Nogal Baie. The track reached #1 on South African music charts and, with a Spanish version created for international audiences, helped introduce the band’s music beyond local borders.

After signing with a record label in 2017, the trio relocated to Cape Town and released their second album, also titled Eintlik Nogal Baie, featuring radio hits such as “Fynbos” and “Al te min te veel Gevra”.

1925 Band has toured extensively throughout South Africa and internationally, including a notable 2018 tour in the Netherlands. They are also known for engaging live shows that span original material, beloved covers from classic artists and special tribute formats (including a well-received Bee Gees tribute show).

Over the years they’ve appeared on various TV and radio platforms, contributed to collaborative charity recordings, and continued releasing music on major digital platforms
