The Limited Edition Drum Corps come from a disadvantage community Manenberg.
Limited Edition Drum Corps originally started from a youth Brigade,The Nurul Mubeen Children Brigade that was established in 1988.Out of this organization a small group of youth entered several auditions.Our youngest drummer Isma-eel Williams also known as Smiley, entered the Cape Towns got talent where he got through to the semi finals.After the Cape Town got talent the group decided that they cant allow Smiley to participate on its own as he is only eleven years of age and the competion is to tough for a young boy at that age but would be better entering such auditions as a Core of drummers.
In 2010 one of the group members came across another audition. The audition for the Fifa World Cup Fan Fest and Fan Walks entertainment. This was the biggest step and performance that the group could ever participated in and the guys could not believed when the judges put them through to the final round of auditions which was held at Grand West Casino at the Grand Arena. Again the judges were impress and were selected out of 3000 participants.
It was then when the group entered the S.A’s got talent auditions.The group started practices three times a week for 2-3 hours under the guidance of Yaggie , Abdul Sampson and Ismail aka Smiley Williams .They boys were very committed and advanced to the Final stage of th of SA’s Got Talent Competition.
The group now showcase their talent not just to Cape Town and South Africa but to the rest of the world.
Our act consist of Highly skilled energetic Drumming with High Tempos,stick juggling and with a special redemption of Michael Jackson’s hit song “SMOOTH CRIMINAL” as well as the World Cup 2010 hit song WAKA WAKA by Shakira
LIMITED EDITION DRUM CORPS ARE RATED THIRD IN SA’S GOT TALENT 2010 AND ARE ONE OF THE BEST ENTERTAINING ACTS.
Our aim is to inspire the youth of our country
Combat crime in our community and show case our talent to the rest of the world.
Limited Edition want to expand the band get some sponsorships and uplift, educate and upgrade the standard of our youth through the love of music.
