Tim Lewis is a Durban-based saxophonist, music producer and DJ known for combining live saxophone with contemporary electronic, house and pop sounds. A versatile multi-instrumentalist, Tim began playing saxophone as a child and went on to perform internationally with the KwaZulu-Natal Youth Wind Band, travelling to Germany, China, Mauritius and New York, including a performance at Carnegie Hall.

Since pursuing music professionally in 2016, Tim has developed a distinctive live sound that brings together saxophone, DJing and electronic production. He has performed at major events and festivals including Splashy Fen, where 2026 marks his eighth appearance, as well as Durban Day, Jo’burg Day and numerous private and corporate events. He has also performed alongside artists including TiMO ODV and Blxckie.

As a producer, Tim collaborated with pianist and singer Matt Davies on Just Be Here, which became his first production signed to Universal Music Group. The pair have continued their creative partnership, including the 2024 release My Heart, My Home with Masuda and Zinhle Madela.

Tim’s catalogue includes releases such as “Hollywood,” “Gravity,” “Shakin’ In My Shoes” and “Lanes,” reflecting his ability to move between melodic house, dance and crossover electronic music.
