Thulisile began her acting career in 2012 when she played the role of Zama in Tshisha – SABC 1 show series. The following year, 2013, she joined e.tvs Craze-e – a youth piece program.

While at Craze-e, she introduced and facilitated a number of shows in the company of Kriya Gangiah, Zola Hashatsi, and Stephanie Sandows.

In 2014, she got recruited for the new look generation. This was after the initial sixteen-cast member reached a stalemate due to a compensation dispute.

She was assigned the role of Namhala – a 17-year old secondary student, whose mother is an ex-convict, Lucy Diale, acted by Manaka Ranaka.

While not many South Africans would be able to identify who Thulisile Phongolo is by her name, a good number of her people and foreigners alike can be able to pick her out of a lineup or identity her as DJ Thuli P or Namhia Diale, the famous Character she played in the soap opera, Generations: The legacy. Since her breakthrough into the entertainment world in 2012, the Soweto Native has remained very active in the industry, enjoying careers as an actress voice over artist, disc Jockey, and all round media personality
