Talia Sanhewe has been with CNBC Africa since its launch in 2007. During her time with the channel she has been CNBC Africa’s Cape Town Reporter and has also anchored weekend programming focusing on the Western Cape.
She also compiles and conceptualizes new feature stories for main broadcasts & weekend content, producing material, script writing and voicing her productions.
Reporting from The World Economic Forum on Africa and interviewing a wide range of people, from Desmond Tutu to Sol Kerzner, Graca Machel and Matt Damon, Sanhewe is the eyes and ears of the network on the southern most tip of Africa.

When it comes to delivering a keynote address, Talia Sanhewe is known for her wit, insight, humor and charisma. She delivers speeches that inspire, encourage and motivate. She draws reference from her life as a reporter, entrepreneur and successful business owner.
Prior to starting her production company, Talia was a reporter and producer for CNBC Africa. As the Cape Town reporter for CNBC Africa, Talia has interviewed heads of state, celebrities, entrepreneurs and captains of industry. She has reported LIVE from the World Economic Forum on Africa, and contributed to reporting for CNBC Europe.
In 2009, Talia won the Vodacom Journalist of the Year in the Television News Category, for her award-winning piece focusing on HIV/AIDS prevention through social entrepreneurship.
Her work experience includes the BBC World Service, CNN International, Forbes Africa Magazine and Oprah Magazine.
Talia holds a BA Film & Media Degree from the University of Cape Town. Her television education also includes a scholarship to the University of California, Los Angeles where she took classes at their prestigious School of Film & Television.
