STEPHANIE NDLOVU
Stephanie is a actress, casting director, content creator and motivational speaker. She completed her Honours Degree in Social Linguistics in 2012. She became the casting director of one of South Africa’s biggest TV soapies, etv-Scandal. She has also casted for SABC’s “Rented family”, Kyknet’s “Spoor” and the telenovela “Hope”.
In 2016, she got her first lead role on “MTV Shuga”. Since acting in MTV Shuga, Stephanie has become a leading ambassador and advocate for the MTV Staying Alive work. She attends MTV Shuga screenings and premieres in different countries and speaks on their behalf. This includes being part of MTV Shuga’s plenary
presentations at the International AIDS Conference in Amsterdam 2018, and the Women Deliver conference in Vancouver 2019. In 2019, she was appointed as a board member of the international organization – The MTV Staying Alive Foundation. In December 2021, she was appointed as Co-Chair of the foundation. The MTV Staying Alive Foundation is MTV’s international content-producing, grant-giving, and HIV prevention initiative. One primary initiative, which Stephanie was a lead actor in, is MTV Shuga. This is a mass media campaign with a hit drama series that looks at sexual reproductive health issues including, but not limited, to AIDS, gender-based violence, abortion, sexual identity and the like. This global series has a recorded viewership of 720m homes – globally. Stephanie, together with her husband Hungani, have become well-known in the world of YouTube and content creation after they launched their production company TNUP which produces their YouTube channel- The Ndlovu’s Uncut. Since then, the channel has reached over 336K subscribers with over 18million views. Stephanie is also a founding member of The Ndlovu Uncut Foundation, an NPO which together with her husband, focus on outreach projects in various communities across the country. One such project was YDAV – a Saturday school, aimed at providing extra lessons in English and Mathematics for underprivileged children in the community of Eldorado Park. Passionate about making a contribution to society, Stephanie has been involved in community work over the last 10 years; ranging from organizing soup kitchens and feeding schemes in the township of Westbury, to mentorship programs for young girls. She is an ardent contributor to uplifting the community she grew up in, having been born and raised between Eldorado Park and Westbury.
