Stanislav Angelov is a highly accomplished accordionist and bandoneón player based in Cape Town, known for his versatility across a wide range of musical styles including classical, tango, jazz and French café music. His expressive performances and distinctive sound have made him a sought-after performer for concerts, corporate events, weddings and private functions.

Born in Shumen, Bulgaria, Stanislav began playing the accordion at the age of five and started formal training at eight. He later studied at the Academy of Music and Dance in Plovdiv, where he completed a degree in accordion performance under Professor Peter Marinov. During his early career he performed in concerts and competitions across Bulgaria and Europe before relocating to Cape Town in 1992.

Since settling in South Africa, Stanislav has performed and recorded with numerous artists and ensembles, and has released several recordings including his solo album Stanislav and albums with the Cape Town Tango Ensemble, which he founded. His work spans classical and contemporary repertoire, from tango and gypsy jazz to traditional European café music.

In addition to his solo work, Stanislav leads and performs with several ensembles including The Mediterraneans, Cape Town Tango Ensemble, Gypsy Jazz Band, and Duo Amore, offering a variety of musical styles suited to different event settings.
