Sivuyile Mdyogolo was born into a poor Xhosa family in Bholotwa, in the province of the Eastern Cape, South Africa.
he is a BA (Media Studies) graduate from Wits Universally and is currently working as a producer for a Xhosa Bulletin at Newzroom Afrika. He acme imbongi at an early age.
Sivuyile performed in many cultural and traditional festivals and in 1999 he was a gold medalist in Sondela Youth Festival, a festival that was hosted annually in Aliwal North, Eastern Cape. in 2023 he represented the Eastern Cape in National love of life games in the Province of Kwazulu-Natal, where h praised the then minister of Sport, Arts and Culture mr Ngconde Balfour. During his years as a student in the University of the Witwaterstrand, he was a well known poet and he received many awards, at a 2008 Wits Cultural festival he was awarded the award for the best poet. While at Wits he sang praises to many cabinet ministers and politicians, eg. Minister Naledi Pandor, Patricia De Lille, general Bantu Holomisa, Dr Matthews Those, Nosimo Balindlela, Prince Xhanti “Bambilizwe” Sigcawu and Many others. He wrote many permed and many of them are recored and can be found on social media platforms such as Facebook, Youtube and Intstagram
