Growing up in a musical household, Ricky developed an obsession with music at a young age. He was playing instruments from early childhood and his passion for music has carried on growing right through his life along with his musical taste, which has continuously expanded to include many different styles and genres

Ricky began Djing in 1999 when he developed a fascination with turntables and mixing music together. His career took off quickly and he went to live in London for 2 years where he became the resident DJ in a popular Covent Garden nightclub called The Langley

On returning to South Africa, Ricky’s career continued to develop. Apart from playing in clubs, bars around festivals around the country, he started doing private and corporate events, as well as weddings. He began to work for some of the country’s top event coordinators and companies, including Otto De Jager, Aleit and Anne Manne (to name a few).  He also started to build up what has become a large clientele of top companies and private clients

Ricky is currently very involved in South Africa’s party scene and owns 2 top party brands which have become not–to–be-missed events, occurring every 4-6 weeks. These brands are ‘The Low Down’ and ‘House on the Hill’. The sound is cutting edge house music of an international flavor. He has hosted top house acts and DJS, including HVOB

Ricky has a huge selection of music and has played for just about every kind of crowd imaginable. He has a gift for reading a crowd and keeping the party rocking
