Organic Lounge is a sophisticated live music concept combining Café del Mar-style DJ sets with some of South Africa’s leading jazz musicians, creating a contemporary fusion of electronic music and live improvisation.
Blending bossa nova, swing, chill-out, electronica, Latin, jazz and minimal house, Organic Lounge can incorporate saxophone, trumpet, percussion, keyboards and vocals, allowing the line-up to be customised according to the event. The result is stylish, atmospheric and engaging without overpowering conversation — making it particularly suited to corporate receptions, cocktail functions, gala dinners and premium events.
HIGHLIGHTS
Organic Lounge has performed internationally, including five shows for the opening of the Habtoor Grand Resort & Spa in Dubai, and has shared stages with leading South African artists and DJs including Mi Casa and Euphonik.
Performance highlights include the MTN Radio Awards, Africa Polo Cup, Datsun GO launch and Telemundo International Channel launch, alongside corporate events for brands including BMW, Coca-Cola, FNB, Microsoft, Engen and SABS.
Members of the collective bring extensive international and festival experience, having performed at events including the North Sea Jazz Festival, Standard Bank Joy of Jazz, Cape Town International Jazz Festival and Cape Town Jazzathon, as well as venues and events across London, Dubai, Australia, Germany and the USA.
Individually, the musicians have also collaborated with celebrated South African artists including Hugh Masekela, Sibongile Khumalo, Themba Mkhize, Vusi Khumalo, Judith Sephuma and Danny K.
