Winston Siljeur is an accomplished South African pianist, keyboardist, composer, arranger, musical director and music producer, recognised for his versatility, sophisticated musicianship and contribution to Cape Town’s contemporary jazz and live music industry.
Originally from Robertson in the Western Cape, Winston developed his passion for music at an early age, growing up in a musical family where gospel and church music played a significant role in shaping his musical foundation. Largely self-taught during his early years, he later pursued formal classical piano studies at the Stellenbosch University Conservatorium in 2008, expanding his technical abilities and musical knowledge.
With more than 15 years of professional experience, Winston has established a diverse career spanning jazz performance, gospel, contemporary music, musical direction, composition, arranging, recording and music education.
He is the founder of Winston Siljeur Productions, established in 2014, a music production and entertainment company specialising in live performances, musical direction, session musicians, backing bands, arranging and artist development.
Winston is also the founder and bandleader of the Winston Siljeur Project, an ensemble showcasing original compositions alongside contemporary jazz, gospel, soul and interpretations of popular music. His performances are characterised by expressive piano arrangements, intricate harmonies, musical improvisation and a contemporary approach to jazz.
Throughout his career, Winston has collaborated with and provided musical support for numerous established local and international artists, including Lloyd Cele, Claire Phillips, Can Skylark, Paul Mark Adams, Noël Robinson, Seth & Nirva and Sarah Téibo.
His performance experience includes the Radisson RED Hotel at the V&A Waterfront, where he presented the Winston Siljeur Quartet, as well as the Masque Theatre in Muizenberg, where he performed his production My KEYS to the World, featuring original compositions, South African favourites and jazz standards.
Beyond performing, Winston has made a significant contribution to music education in the Western Cape. He served as a piano and music theory lecturer at the Cape Music Institute from 2009 to 2017, working alongside renowned jazz pianist Camillo Lombard. He has also taught at W. Heuer Musikhaus in Stellenbosch, Alexander Sinton High School and various community music development programmes.
His commitment to developing young musical talent remains an important part of his career, with ongoing involvement in mentoring, workshops and music education.
In 2025, Winston released his Afrikaans gospel single Sy Liefde, inspired by John 3:16, further demonstrating his versatility as a composer and recording artist. In March 2026, he presented Live in Your Living Room, an intimate online piano concert featuring original compositions and interpretations of South African classics.
Combining technical excellence with creativity and a warm performance style, Winston delivers sophisticated live entertainment suitable for corporate functions, gala dinners, cocktail receptions, luxury hospitality events and private celebrations.
