Startups: Once Nic left M&G he then moved to a young startup called Zoopy. This was a short-lived move and Nic found himself at Vodacom SA working to develop a new location based social network called The Grid with his soon to be business partner.
The Grid was fortunate enough to operate as a tiny startup in a large organisation like Vodacom SA. However after a period Nic realised that he could be building his own business and relocated to Cape Town to build Motribe.
Motribe was a mobile social network builder that Nic co-founder with Vincent Maher in 2010. After 2 years of intense work, Mxit purchased Motribe and Nic successfully exited the business.
Fashion: Having sold Motribe, Nic was able to take time to plan his next startup. In this period, NicSocks was born; An online sock subscription service that delivered socks to men’s doors once a month.
Since launching in 2012, NicSocks has grown into NicHarry.com, a men’s accessory business.
