Lectric Licks is a Cape Town-based live electronic music duo comprising Christoph Koch and Gerhardus Coetzee, bringing together DJ-driven electronic music with live instrumentation to create an immersive and highly engaging performance.
Formed in 2018, the duo moves between deep house and melodic techno, layering electronic grooves with live electric guitar, keyboards, synths and vocals. The result is a sophisticated electronic sound that combines the energy of a DJ set with the visual and musical impact of live musicianship.
Lectric Licks have established themselves on the South African electronic music scene with appearances at events and festivals including AfrikaBurn, Bazique Festival and Horizons Festival, while their international performances have included appearances in the United Kingdom, Germany and Brazil.
Their original music includes the Dreams EP, featuring tracks such as Dreams and Halo, followed by releases including Spiritual Emotions and In My Head.
