Based: Uganda
Eddy Kenzo, born Edrisah Kenzo Musuuza, is one of Uganda’s most successful contemporary artists and one of East Africa’s most recognisable music exports. He first rose to major regional and international attention with the breakout success of “Sitya Loss” in 2014, a release that helped introduce his energetic Afropop sound to a much wider audience.
Over the course of his career, Eddy Kenzo has built an impressive reputation as a singer, performer and music executive through Big Talent Entertainment, while continuing to release charting singles and major projects including Roots and Made in Africa. His achievements include becoming the first Ugandan artist to win a BET Award in 2015, as well as later earning a Grammy nomination through his feature on “Gimme Love” with Matt B.
In addition to his recording success, Kenzo remains a major live draw, known for vibrant stage performances, strong crossover appeal and a catalogue that balances club energy, Afro-pop melodies and East African identity. That makes him a strong fit for large-scale festivals, headline concerts, premium corporate events and major public celebrations.
