Dj Ricky Lamar started his dj’ing career in 2006 at the tender age of 16. From a young age Ricky Lamar was very passionate about music and now you can hear it! He plays house music. Ricky Lamar started playing for the public in early 2009 after completing his high school.

Ricky Lamar is currently rated one of the best djs Botswana has to offer. He plays every Wednesday on one of the most rated local radio station Yarona FM on “The Bridge”11:30am till 12noon!!! He has performed at some of Botswana’s most successful festivals such as Mascom Bootsa Bash;Rejuvenation; Spring Explosion; Annual Bak2Skul; Home Coming Concert just to mention a few.

His played with many of South Africa’s top dj’s the likes of DJ Fresh(5fm); Euphonik(5fm); Black Coffee(Soulistic Music); Kent(88 Productions); Uhuru (Kalawa); Dj Shimza(Soulistic Music) Dj Clock(AM-PM); Dj Cleo(Wills Of Steal), Dj Christos (Dj’s At Work) Black Motion(Kalawa) and many many more.

Locally his played with the likes of Bush(House Junkies);Khenzo(Beat Premiers);Mr O;Archduke(House Junkies);TCM (Groove Cartel); Easy B; Stomps(House Junkies),Dj kuchi,Dj German D(Groove Cartel),Dj Kellz,Phouboy, T-Man (Nations Finest) and many many more.

He won the 2011 “Sprite Dj Competition”
