Based: Durban
Daniel Israel is an accomplished South African DJ and entertainment professional with more than 20 years of experience across corporate events, weddings, private celebrations, nightclubs and large-scale sporting events.
Born into the entertainment industry in Durban, Daniel was introduced to music from an early age through his father, one of South Africa’s pioneering DJs in the late 1960s. Following in his footsteps, Daniel played his first paid event at just 12 years old, his first wedding at 16 and secured a nightclub residency before he was old enough to drive.
Over the years, Daniel has performed for diverse audiences throughout South Africa and neighbouring countries, including major stadium events with crowds of between 20,000 and 50,000 people. A career highlight includes performing at the South Africa vs India T20 celebration at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban in 2011.
Known for his exceptional versatility, Daniel is comfortable across an extensive range of musical genres and prides himself on reading the room and tailoring every set to the audience. He actively welcomes requests and audience interaction, creating a responsive and engaging dance-floor experience rather than relying on a predetermined playlist.
Combining extensive musical knowledge with professional, high-quality sound and lighting equipment, Daniel delivers a polished entertainment experience where every detail — from speeches and sound clarity to dance-floor energy and atmosphere — is carefully considered.
Professional, adaptable and passionate about his craft, Daniel is an excellent choice for corporate functions, gala events, weddings, sporting occasions and private celebrations where great music and a highly experienced DJ are essential.
