Courus moved from a small town called Uitenhage to the big city Johannesburg in June 2018 with dreams of taking her craft and artistry to the next level.

Courus knew from a young age that she had a passion and love for performance. She went on to study music at Nelson Mandela University where she graduated with a Diploma in Music Education (DipMusEd) and recently completed The Music Business short learning program through a fund made possible by SAMRO.

Courus is a high-energy performer and music innovator known for blending Jazz, RnB and Neo Soul with infectious beats and a captivating stage presence. With a distinctive sound that has attracted a global audience and accumulated over 110K streams, Courus is rapidly emerging as a standout talent in the RNB/ Soul music scene. Her dynamic performances, powerful vocals and engaging audience interactions make every show an unforgettable experience.

Courus has headlined major venues and shared the stage with top artists such as Micasa, Vusi Nova, Zahara, Lira & Judith Sephuma. Her music has been featured on Rhodes Music Radio, Algoa FM, Viva Nation Radio, Power987, multiple Spotify and Apple Music Playlists as well as on National Television on a prominent news program called Morning Live and continues to gain traction across digital platforms.

Courus has a unique ability to write real life stories based on experiences and translates this into her performances where audiences engage, relate and feel everything that these stories are about. The mission is to get this message out to a global audience.
