Brad Shorkend is an agitator, thought provoker, executive and business wingman, high performance junkie, leader, entrepreneur, innovator & curiosity bad-ass.

His professional career kicked off with him founding and building his own architectural practice and specialising in architecture for business for over 15 years. It was here that he discovered his love for entrepreneurship, leadership, people development and the “thinking” space. He successfully diversified and founded a number of exciting business ventures across numerous sectors such as technology, telecommunications, real estate, retail, beauty, fashion and building construction to name a few.

It was this powerful and insightful journey that led Brad to choose to use the knowledge and experience he has gained over the years to assist individuals and organisations to achieve their highest potential, build awesome places of work, and be innovation ready – always. Since founding Urban Everest Lateral Thinking in 2006, Brad has been coaching; mentoring and facilitating across all industries working primarily with CEO; MD; Exco; leadership at all levels of organisation, high talent individuals, teams and entrepreneurs.

Brad’s clients are an exciting array of many of the top blue chip organisations in South Africa and globally as well as exciting early and mid-stage start-ups.

He is also adjunct faculty at GIBS.

Brad is focussed on enhancing the mindset, profitability, enrichment and value of new and existing entities and individuals through lateral thought processes, relentless curiosity, awareness creation, challenging current thinking, and appropriate and specific sustainable action.
He also places a significant emphasis on exploring and enhancing an individual’s awareness of him/her self.
