Based: Johannesburg

Born Ashley Beyers, into a humble one-parent home, in KwaZulu Natal (in South Africa) in 1990, ASH danced his way through early life. At just 2 years old he won his first dance competition busting his moves to Michael Jackson, and by 16 he was on TV, dancing in in various TV commercials, before moving on to ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ (where he was a finalist) and ‘Music Moves Me’. Now on the cusp of releasing his debut single ‘Temporary Lover’, ASH is living his dream.

His first single and video, a ‘Temporary Lover’, fresh take on relationship issues sitting somewhere between R&B & Hip Hop, is slated for mid August, and all signs point to him taking over the airwaves and slipping into the hearts of music fans with the stealth of a young man who used to ‘slip into yards on his way home from school, and steal the neglected pets from undeserving owners and take them to the SPCA for treatment’. Though inspired by Michael Jackson and R Kelly, ASH is true to himself – ‘It’s all real, it’s me and I wanna send a positive message’

So from playing drums in church, to dancing on TV, performing with a variety of local and international artists including Jamali, HHP, Ludacris and Trey Songz as well as touring the World, he is now ready to shine – ‘I just want to get on stage as ASH now
