My name is Alex van Houwelingen, a South African based illustrator.

After graduating BA Information Design at the University of Pretoria in 2006, I decided to give freelance illustration a try and to my surprise and joy everything worked out well.

Today I am a sought-after illustrator especially known for my versatility and work ethic. I have a special talent for understanding human and development communication as well as business.

I know how to visualize ideas and concepts in such a way that they are understandable to a broad public. I pride myself on always going the extra mile for my clients.

My illustrations are published in books and magazines all over the world and I get extremely excited when I am approached for a new project.
