Durban rapper Arnold Phillips; who goes by the name Aewon Wolf was nominated for the South African Hip Hop awards in 2015 alongside heavyweights like AKA and Cassper Nyovest. This all happened whilst he was focuse on releasing his music and working hard to get his name out in the industry, the nomination was an absolute honour for him. This was clear indication that he is on the sure path to getting the recognition and traction which he has been working towards. He has a mixtape titled ‘Darkest Winter’. This music maestro is a law graduate and has performed at Cassper Nyovest’s ‘Fill Up the Dome’ concert which was a roaring success. Aewon has built a strong reputation for himself and as such he has worked with the likes of Witness The Funk (WTF) on their single Wangnika , Pounds and Your Girl (Umuntu Wakho).

The muso also writes for other musicians and he also likes to use other musicians to make something unique and different. Arnold says that his brand of music is very diverse and that he is very true to the South African theme of being diverse. When it comes to his music, he says he holds nothing back. One of his wishes was to work with legendary musician Tsepo Tshola.
