Sebe Spring is a Johannesburg-based South African singer, songwriter and producer whose music blends contemporary Afro-Soul with rich African rhythms, traditional influences and soulful vocals. Her sound draws inspiration from across the continent, combining elements of African music, soul, jazz and world music, while her songwriting frequently explores themes of love, identity, hope, social consciousness and togetherness.
A Quantity Surveyor by profession, Sebe brings the discipline of the corporate world into her music career. She initially recorded a gospel project as part of the duo Soul Angels before establishing herself as a solo Afro-Soul artist. Her musical influences include celebrated artists such as Busi Mhlongo, Letta Mbulu, Sibongile Khumalo, Angélique Kidjo, Lauryn Hill, Jill Scott, Salif Keita and Youssou N’Dour.
Her live performances are a particular strength, combining soulful lead vocals, African percussion, traditional guitar, dance and vocal chanting to create an authentically African yet contemporary experience. Sebe has performed extensively at corporate and private events and has shared stages with respected South African artists including Bongeziwe Mabandla, Zamajobe, Siphokazi and Sabelo Mthembu. She has also appeared on the Joy of Jazz Fringe stage.
Her recorded work includes the 2018 EP Woza Sihambe, featuring tracks such as Soweto, Ngeke Ubuye, Buyekhaya and Ungalahli Ithemba, the latter featuring Sabelo Mthembu. More recently, Sebe released the five-track Late Bloomer project in January 2026, featuring Kwanele, Jozi, Hlala Nawe, Akekho and Ngiyala Ngami. This was followed by the 2026 single Under Your Spell Again.
Sebe has also developed her own live-performance platform through the Sebe Spring Intimate Soul Sessions, creating an intimate environment centred around live soulful music and audience connection.
With her combination of African musical heritage, contemporary Afro-Soul and polished live performance, Sebe Spring is particularly suited to corporate events, gala dinners, African-themed celebrations, conferences, luxury hospitality events and intimate live-music experiences.
