Based: Cape town

She’s just at ease with a hair straightener as she is with a hand drill. Zoë Brown is the fresh face and unofficial DIY-er greeting early risers on the Feel Good Breakfast Show – Expresso on SABC3 every weekday morning from 06h00 to 08h30. Few know that her talents were not only discovered in early 2015 during the televised Presenter Search on 3, but are the result of hard work and dedication that span over eight years.

The Cape Town native who moved to Durban in her early teens, Zoë has been mapping her trajectory to success from a young age, which started with being crowned 2nd Princess at the Miss SA Teen pageant in 2007 at the age of 17.

In 2012, and whilst studying at Stellenbosch University, she cut her presenting teeth hosting the MFM campus radio graveyard shift between 03h00 and 06h00; very soon there after graduating to a weeknight show from 21h00 to midnight.

Radio became a driving force in Zoë’s life. She found herself at Cape Town-based radio station KFM in 2014 where she reported on the traffic on Rob Vember’s Drive Time show, and now hosts her own show Saturday afternoons between 14h00 and 18h00.

After 12 weeks of gruelling challenges spanning three months, in June 2015 Zoë secured a coveted spot as an SABC3 presenter on Expresso. ”To be announced as one of the winners was a dream come true for me,” she reminisces.
