Ursula (Ursh) Chikane is a broadcaster, content producer and public speaker.

She began her career as a sports and OB (outside broadcast) specialist presenter and went on to become one of South Africa’s most versatile radio and television presenters.  Ursula is also highly regarded as a corporate-events presenter and is known for her professional, infectious and personable presentation manner.

On television, Ursula is one of SABC 3 Top Billing’s most seasoned presenters. Described as an elegant, fun and fearless entertainer this thrill-seeker is also an adventure sports enthusiast and lists river rafting, skydiving, CrossFit training and boxing among her favourite off-screen activities.

On radio, Ursula kept the continent company with her weekly syndicated trans-African chart show, Jammin’ Africa, produced by Radio Express in Hollywood. She was also the voice behind the wildly popular World Chart Show on 5fm. June 2013 saw the vivacious presenter’s return to weekend radio as the host of the Power Express on Power 98.7.

Over the years Ursula has interviewed a number of leading music, movie, sport and television stars for both local and international consumption. As one of Top Billing’s original presenters, Ursula has been granted access to and interviewed former Presidents Nelson Mandela and Thabo Mbeki, former Prime Minister Tony Blair, captains of industry Cyril Ramaphosa, Maria Ramos and Brian Joffe.  On the entertainment side, she has profiled a host of local and international celebrities including Lira, Thandiswa Mazwai, HHP, Tyra Banks, John Legend, Ronan Keating, Toni Morrison, Dave Matthews, Drew Barrymore, REM, U2 and Sting.

Currently heading the production team at SEVEN20 ENTERTAINMENT, Ursula is involved in producing a number of television and audio in-flight entertainment programmes.
