Tapfuma Makina is a highly skilled and popular event MC, host, TV, and radio presenter, with a remarkable ability to captivate audiences across various media platforms. With extensive experience spanning corporate gatherings, product launches, sports events, awards ceremonies, and gala dinners, Tapfuma is renowned for his versatility and ability to seamlessly blend energy, entertainment, and gravitas to tailor his approach to suit the audience’s needs. His proficiency at adapting swiftly to program changes ensures every event he hosts runs smoothly.

Tapfuma was the host of ‘A Night with Ronan Keating’ for investment firm Citadel in 2024, after hosting the event previously in 2018, 2019, and 2022. He hosted The Gary Player Invitational from 2014 to 2019, and again in 2022 and 2023. National Geographic enlisted his services at their launch event for Shark Week in 2023, and in that same year he played the role of facilitator at the Actuarial Society of South Africa’s annual convention.

Tapfuma’s versatility shines through in his other work across the media industry. Tapfuma has been a sports anchor on eTV South Africa since 2019, delivering engaging sports news and commentary. He brought the competitive spirit of braai enthusiasts to life as the host of Ultimate Braai Master Season 8 in 2023. 

His TV News anchoring experience includes presenting the midmorning weekday show Newslink on eNews Channel Africa (eNCA) from 2021 to 2022. His tenure at eNCA also included hosting the Tech Report from 2012 to 2015. He has also appeared on International screen as a co-host and reporter for Innovate Africa on Al Jazeera English.

In his radio career spanning more than ten years, Tapfuma excelled as the Breakfast Sports Anchor at Heart FM from 2013 to 2022, while also hosting the Saturday Breakfast show and leading a compelling Sports talk show, “On The Couch,” from 2010 to 2018.

Tapfuma is also a highly accomplished Voice Artist, lending his rich, smooth, full, and resonant voice to a variety of radio and TV commercials, TV shows, documentaries, corporate, and training videos.
