Kerryn and Peter met at high school in Cape Town. A decade later, at the start of 2003, they combined their musical talents to form the energetic and virtuoso Take 2 violin and guitar duo.

While their repertoire reflects their background in and love of Classical music, the duo has embarked on a musical journey, including Jazz, Irish and Eastern European fiddle music, South American folk tunes, European continental favourites, South African traditionals, and more…

The result is a versatile and fun musical flavour that keeps both the duo and the listeners on their toes. The duo has performed at Cape Town’s most prestigious venues, including Spier, Kirstenbosch, Arabella, Twelve Apostles, Groote Schuur Estate (Tuinhuis), Boshendal, CTICC, Uitsig, Ellerman House, and many more. Take 2 can take centre stage at concerts or major events, or be the subtle background sound that lifts the mood at special occasions.
