Radio personality Sherlin Barends started out from campus radio and went on to working for some of the biggest radio stations the country. Sherlin is multi-talent and some of you may even remember from Top Billing’s 2012 Presenter Search.

Sherlin who holds an honours degree in journalism from Stellenbosch University, was part of the Good Hope FM line up before moving over and being given a morning slot on KFM. She has stated that this transition is the next step in her career and growth.

The Capetonian describes herself as a bold, bald and bubbly radio presenter. She fell in love with radio while doing campus radio at Stellenbosch University and has not looked back since, she loves it because she feels that radio gives her the opportunity to connect with different people.

Sherlin has said, “In addition to radio, I dream of becoming a tv/online presenter and write for a reputable publication. I want to be a respected voice in the industry and use my personal brand to advocate for positive change”
