Nosiphiwo Balfour is a seasoned professional and business leader with a comprehensive background spanning 19 years within the financial services and property sectors. In her most recent role, she was a Corporate Property Specialist at Investec Bank. She was responsible for a team that provided structured funding solutions and specialised finance to property-owning corporates in SA and offshore. As a former member of the Structured Property Finance Strategic Committee, she provided strategic insight to the business constituting over ZAR100 billion of commercial property loans and she was responsible for managing the commercial property securitisation vehicle of approx. ZAR3 billion. In her role prior to this, Nosiphiwo was the Chief Executive Officer of Texton Property Fund, a listed Real Estate Investment Trust with property assets, located in the United Kingdom and South Africa,

valued at ZAR5.5 billion. Nosiphiwo commenced her career at Investec Property Group where she spent four years as a research analyst on listed property portfolios. Having also assumed business development responsibilities on retail and institutional portfolios, Nosiphiwo joined Ninety One where she was a Sales Manager in the institutional team covering various asset classes. She was

responsible for new business and managed several significant relationships with retirement funds, investment consultants, state-owned entities and public sector funds. Nosiphiwo has strategically worked with investment teams, companies and industry bodies to build meaningful businesses and grow investments that are not only conscious of their environment and good governance but have delivered returns for stakeholders. She is currently an Executive Director at Akili Property Partners, a property investment firm. Nosiphiwo also serves as the Chairperson for Excelsia Capital, an equity asset management company and a Non-Executive Director at goodfind Properties. Nosiphiwo has previously held directorships on various boards including Communicare Social Housing Organisation and Inception Reading S.A.R.L, a Luxembourg-domiciled company that owns properties in the United Kingdom. At the former Nosiphiwo was the Vice-Chairperson of the Board between 2015 and 2017 and Chairperson of the Remuneration Committee. Nosiphiwo was a 2018 Honouree of the Seven Percent Tribe, an organisation which recognises female executives in leadership. She was also a nominee for the 2018 SA Women in Property Awards under Professional of the Year: Private Sector Category.
