Matt Bromley is a South African professional big-wave surfer, international keynote speaker and performance coach who has built his career around confronting fear, navigating uncertainty and performing under extreme pressure.
Born and raised in Cape Town and based in Kommetjie, Matt has spent almost two decades chasing some of the world’s biggest and most dangerous waves. His big-wave career has taken him to legendary breaks including Jaws in Hawaii, Mavericks in California, Nias in Indonesia and the powerful waves off Ireland and South Africa.
A two-time South African surfing captain, eight-time surf magazine cover athlete and global Monster Energy athlete, Matt has represented South Africa internationally and has been invited multiple times to the prestigious Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational. He has also competed at the Jaws Big Wave Challenge.
Matt has translated the lessons learned from facing enormous waves into a compelling corporate message about fear, resilience, preparation, leadership and high performance.
