Matsi is an avid entrepreneur, seasoned chairperson of listed and unlisted companies and is the founder of Furaha, a company that focuses on investments, technology, innovation and climate finance. Matsi has transitioned into the global climate finance space, and is the World Climate Foundation Africa Lead, and has helped establish the Africa Leading initiative within the foundation. As a tech founder, Matsi has developed Climate FinFinder, a tech platform that brokers climate finance for climate projects, products and services that aid the decarbonization of industries. Her focus is bridging the gap between the global north and the global south in the climate innovation, sustainability and the climate investment sphere and ensuring that Africa has a voice and a seat at the table.

Matsi has more than 15years experience holding various Non-Executive Directorship and trustee positions in local and international entities, including the Technology Innovation Agency of South Africa (TIA), Kuehne + Nagel (Africa), Fin Africa, Momentum Metropolitan Holdings, SAB Foundation, Boutique Collective Investments (BCI), Agri-Vie Private Equity and has joined Connected Capital LLP, a London-based UK FCA regulated advisory and arranging firm, specializing in impact alternative investments, private debt and real assets. Matsi continues to play an instrumental role in advocating and catalyzing climate action, sustainable practices into developing and emerging markets.

Mats is a true global citizen, with a base in South Africa, Ghana and the United Kingdom. She has travelled around the world and has an extensive local, continental, and global network of people through being a member of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Shapers community and Young Presidents Organization (YPO), North Star Integrator Chapter. Matsi holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (BCom) from the University of the Witwatersrand, in South Africa and completed the Harvard YPO President’s executive programme, in Boston Massachusetts.
