Londy Ngcobo is a globally recognized former Ship Navigator and Africa’s First Female Dredge Master, dedicated to unlocking Africa’s ocean economy. With over 16 years in the maritime industry, she has navigated vessels over 50,000 Gross Tonnage worldwide with Maersk shipping line, mastered advanced dredging from the Netherlands IHC, and shaped industry policies as an Executive Maritime Compliance Manager for South Africa’s largest logistics company.

Now at the helm of UOE (Unlocking Oceans Economy) and Global Maritime Youth, Londy serves on multiple transport sector boards, driving advocacy, training, and economic growth. Through her platform “Claim Your Captaincy,” she equips corporates with sustainable diversity strategies, empowers leaders to take charge of their destinies, and inspires women and youth to push beyond limits.
