Kuseni Dlamini is one of South Africa’s most accomplished business leaders, with extensive executive and board-level experience across financial services, mining, pharmaceuticals, retail and investment. His career has given him a particularly strong perspective on African growth, global investment, strategic partnerships and building sustainable businesses across emerging markets.
A former CEO of Old Mutual South Africa and Emerging Markets, Kuseni was responsible for businesses spanning Africa, Asia and Latin America, including engagement with joint-venture partners and financial regulators across multiple jurisdictions. He previously served as Head of Anglo American South Africa, was a member of the Executive Committee of Anglo American plc in London and a Director of Anglo American Platinum.
Kuseni currently chairs Alexforbes Group Holdings and Aspen Pharmacare Holdings, and holds additional senior board and leadership positions across business and academia. He is also President of the American Chamber of Commerce in South Africa, giving him significant exposure to international investment and the relationship between African and multinational businesses.
A Rhodes Scholar, Kuseni graduated from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and earned an MPhil from Oxford University. He has also completed executive leadership programmes at Harvard and Yale and was recognised as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
