Kriya Gangiah

Kriya Gangiah is a dynamic South African media personality, accomplished corporate MC, television and radio presenter, sports broadcaster and entrepreneur. With close to two decades of experience across broadcast media and live events, she is known for her confident delivery, high energy and ability to connect naturally with diverse audiences.

Kriya began her broadcasting career at Tuks FM in 2007, while studying Information Science and Multimedia at the University of Pretoria. She went on to work across some of South Africa’s leading radio platforms, including Jacaranda FM and 947. Her Chamberlain’s Top 20 show was nominated for a South African Radio Award in 2018.

Television & Sports Broadcasting

Kriya made her television breakthrough when she joined e.tv’s Craz-E in 2009. She later became a presenter on SABC3’s Mela and has subsequently developed a particularly strong profile within sports and motorsport broadcasting.

Her current presenting portfolio includes SuperSport’s F1 Extra: Africa Trackside, general sports presenting for SuperSport, GTH Racing, Tuned in SA on Ignition TV and her Formula One podcast F1: Track This. She has also hosted the Kyalami 9 Hour and, since 2024, has worked as an SA20 cricket host.

Her motorsport credentials extend to hosting the Southern African Endurance Series and South African Rally Championship, as well as presenting Absolute F1 and appearing as a panellist on Super Saturday for SuperSport.

Corporate MC

Alongside broadcasting, Kriya is a highly experienced corporate MC and event host. Her combination of live television experience, business knowledge and audience engagement makes her particularly effective for conferences, product launches, awards ceremonies, automotive events, sporting functions and brand activations. Her corporate hosting portfolio has included major brands such as Coca-Cola, MTN and Standard Bank.

Kriya also has an unusual corporate background for a media personality. She previously worked in information security and vulnerability management at Deloitte, giving her firsthand exposure to the professional business environment. She subsequently expanded into entrepreneurship and digital media through Kri8tive Media.

Recognition

Kriya was selected for the Mail & Guardian 200 Young South Africans and was named a Glamour Woman of the Year in 2016, recognising her growing influence within South African media.
