Keegan Martin is a dedicated young man that is passionate and hardworking. He is determined to make a success of his career in music. He started singing at the age of 8 in a primary school choir and joined his high school choir and church choir when he was 13 years old. Keegan went on to become a school choir conductor for two different high schools at the age of 17.
He has been fortunate enough to have worked with international Gospel artists Donnie Mcklurkin and Marvin Winans in 2012 as well as Vashawn Mitchell. In 2014, Keegan had the privilege to be a part of the opening act for international RnB legend, Tamia, when she did her SA Tour at Carnival City. This year, he was the opening act for former Idols SA winner Musa at the World of Yamaha Theatre as well as the opening act for Afro Soul artist Lira, at Skyy Vodka’s event this year. Keegan has shared the stage with the likes of Ringo and Siphokazi as a backing vocalist for a CD launch. Recently, Keegan also performed at the DSTV Delicious Festival.
Having made it to the Top 7 contestants on Idols SA 2016, this young, dedicated artist is eager to build a strong career in the music industry and to show the world what he has to offer. Keegan was a firm fan favourite and his exit from the competition was a startling surprise for many. His fan base stretches as far as Zambia, already showing that he has made an impact and is a memorable performer. His trademark charisma and rhythmic dance moves captivate crowds and always gets the people grooving; making him perfect for any event.
