Based: Johannesburg
Karabo is an advocate at the Johannesburg Bar; holding chambers at Thulamela Chambers. She serves as a member of the Thulamela Executive Committee and is tasked with the general management of the group and its members.
Prior to joining the Johannesburg Bar, Karabo served as a research intern at Amnesty International where she worked on issues relating to refugees; migration rights and gender based violence within the African Region.
Karabo completed her articles of clerkship at media law firm, which specialised in media and defamation law, which granted her great exposure to strategic litigation, legal research and legal procedure.
Karabo holds a law degree and postgraduate degree in communications at the University of the Witwatersrand where she served on a number of community based initiatives, one of which assisted displaced women and children within Johannesburg. Karabo also chaired the School Representative Council cluster; Student Disciplinary Council; where she led and managed a team of legal students whose task it was to represent students during disciplinary hearings.
