Janine Starkey – Image Consultant studied fashion design at the London International School of Fashion, qualifying with an international Higher Diploma in Fashion Design and Technology.Janine spent the first five years of her career working at the popular South African soap opera, Egoli as Head of Wardrobe Department.

Having learned valuable experience in the art of styling and how it can create and shape a character.Janine decided to shift her focus to help ordinary men and women looking to find their own image and to feel comfortable in their own style. And so, The House of Janine opened its doors in 2004.

Personal styling and image consulting is more than just a business for Janine; it is a personal passion, one that has evolved out of the need to understand identity and to help people to be more than they have dreamt they could be.

House of Janine has grown from strength to strength over the last twelve years and Janine has had the privilege building various men and women’s images across the country.

Through their experience, House of Janine created a collection of ready-to-wear clothing under the label ‘tweak’ – designed to work for you – which was established in November 2012.

The label has had four very successful seasons dressing South African women in style.

tweak&STYLE is also a new brand under the House of Janine umbrella which is an affordable personal styling service created for the corporate individual who has no time to shop or who just needs a style injection according to their lifestyle, likes and dislikes as well as their assets and body’s flaws.Janine is both educational and entertaining, imparting her secrets to helping dress for your body shape.
